Hon. Mark Coulton MP visits Lifeskills Plus

FEDERAL SUPPORTER

This morning (Friday 8-5-15) we had the honour of showing the honourable Mark Coulton MP around the building site of our Community Centre in Oporto Road. Mr. Coulton was impressed with the progress that has been made since he last visited the project with Kevin Andrews in August last year. Our CEO Carolyn Peek and board member Bruce Walker were proud to show the MP for Parkes what has been achieved with the support of our community. They discussed with the member of parliament the funding that is needed to finish the Community Centre and Mark Coulton acknowledged the importance of the Community Centre for the Mid-West families. We are looking to see how soon we are able to move the activities of 24 Perry Street to the Centre that is being finished. Lifeskills Plus is working hard with the local community and businesses, together with people’s representatives like the Hon. Mark Coulton and Troy Grant -who will be visiting the Community Centre next month- to give Mudgee, Kandos, Gulgong, Rylstone and all those beautiful country communities of the Mid-West a facility that will not only provide the necessary services for people with disabilities but a community hub where ALL community members are welcome.
