How does your garden grow?

I have just started watering the pot plants at Lifeskills. It is my responsibility to make sure when I arrive I get the watering can and give them some water. I enjoy having a job to do that is just for me and I am helping.

Sleepover party! (teenage girls)

We love to have a sleepover in the respite area. We dress up and go to dinner, read magazines, listen to music and watch TV. The day after we go on an excursion to a different place. Last time we went to Rylstone to check out the lolly shop and have a picnic lunch. We love hanging out with our friends.

Transition to Work

I started work experience at Ironed out in September. I go there on Thursdays from 12-3.  I like to go there because it will give me more independence and I learn new things.

Shall We Dance?

Our dance groups were lucky enough to have guest teachers from Dance With Attitude help us prepare for Mid Western Dance Festival. We had a great time practicing and performing on stage for the audience. Our friends and family came along and cheered for us too. We had a teenage group and an adult group, it was lots of fun.

It’s a man’s world (sometimes)

We enjoy our time at the Men’s shed on Wednesdays. Our support worker takes us for a couple of hours and we have learnt lots of new things and made lots of projects. It’s good to go into the community and chat with other blokes and learn new skills. One of our favourite projects was our WWE clocks.
