𝗡𝗘𝗪 ‘𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗜𝗟𝗜𝗘𝗡𝗖𝗘 𝗡𝗦𝗪’ 𝗔𝗚𝗘𝗡𝗖𝗬:
A new NSW Government agency ‘Resilience NSW’ has been created. It will drive world-leading disaster preparedness and the recovery approach for the NSW community. NSW Rural Fire Service's Commissioner Shane Fitzsimmons will lead the new agency. More at bit.ly/NewResilienceNSWAgency
𝗙𝗨𝗡𝗗𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗧𝗢 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗕𝗔𝗧 𝗜𝗦𝗢𝗟𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡:
We’re funding innovative ideas to help seniors keep in touch by utilising phone calls, online platforms or other methods of communication. Organisations can apply for grants ranging from $10,000 to $100,000 under the new initiative ‘Combatting Social Isolation for Seniors During COVID-19’. 🚸Bankstown Senior College was non-operational today, Monday 6 April as a student had been diagnosed with COVID-19. The school will resume operations tomorrow, Tuesday 7 April.

Public health orders have been issued to protect the community and reduce the spread of COVID-19. Breaching these orders (under the Public Health Act 2010) is a criminal offence and attracts heavy penalties.
🚫 For individuals, the maximum penalty is $11,000, or imprisonment for 6 months, or both and a further $5,500 penalty may apply for each day the offence continues. NSW Police Force may also issue on-the-spot fines of $1,000 for an offence.
🚫 For organisations, the maximum penalty is $55,000 and a further $27,500 penalty may apply for each day the offence continues.
